Source A: DAT --- Core Sound Binaurals > Sony PCM-M1
DAT: DAT-M > Digital Clone-1
CD: 1G from Taper, Transferred in 2001
MP3 Sample: Right click & save
Notes: Very good sound, probably the best of Travis's 2001 Tool recordings. I think he must have been a bit closer to the stacks than he had been at previous nights shows, so the sound is just a little bit fuller & more 'there'. Maybe it is just me but I really, really like the way CSBs sound as a microphone source for a Tool recording. Hard to get a bad one. A little different spice to the setlist than what Tool had been doing this part of the tour, so that is nice as well. Note, Stinkfist is not played this night. Performance by the band is simply rock-solid as usual but this night they seem to really be having fun. There is already a good DAT>CD transfer, I will not do another one as that would simply add confusion.
'Thank you very much for coming.'
(shortened version w/o lyrics)
'Thank you very much. We just have to say that it's quite an honor to share the stage with Tricky and all the crew. Hasn't been since 97 we actually had that opportunity. We'd like to uh, dedicate this one to them.'
Eon Red Apocalypse <noise>
Eon Blue Apocalypse
'Thank you so much for sharing this moment with us.'
'Thank you. Thank you very much. Please, on your way home look out for each other, get home safely. And while you're traveling and you are reminiscing about tonight, about our moment, try to hang onto that feeling you have whether you've had a good night, a bad night, an indifferent night, it doesn't matter, remember this feeling you're having and in the coming weeks use that feeling to create something positive.'
