Notes: Although this is a good capture of Tool, I think that some may feel the MD version to actually be a bit better sounding. Sounds counterintuitive, I know, but that may be the case. This version has more depth in sound though. It is also pretty bass-e, which may or may not be a bad thing. Taped from at least behind the sweet spot, this is not an "in your face" type of recording. There are times when the crowd is audible but then only minimally is that noticeable. A little bit of echo reverberates at times, caused by the various objects the sound bounces off before it lands into the microphones & unit. Perhaps using the CSB bass filter during this recording condition would have yielded better results? As it is, this is definitely a solid recording in and of it's own right which should find a home in your collection at some point. Recommended.
