Notes: Although you could sit there & poke holes into this recording what with the clearly 'outdoor, amphitheatre' sound mixed with a somewhat obtrusive crowd & an ambience that feels just about as generic as the 'US Cellular Arena" brand, this recording certainly does do a good job in delivering a solid, somewhat crisp but continually pleasant listening experience throughout. Reviewing this particular show in the latter part of 2009, I think, 'damn this performance/recording is 7 years old'; that's crazy. It sort of is. Is it - the more time goes by the more we tend to romanticize things or is it entirely subjective? As for fans of Tool, maybe it is that one may find the mind wandering to the setlists of 2002, some of the more varied ones (not this performance, obviously), thinking about how good it used to be. As it is, if one were really interested in finding this source I am sure it would not be that difficult. That said, this source sort of appeared -mainstream- in 2008.
