Notes: Well, this date happened to have a rather unique setlist and was the only show from the 2002-Fall tour that they played 4* so, no matter what, a decent recording of this performance is desired. And that is exactly what this recording is: decent. Not superb, not terrible but decent. The taper was not close to the stacks thus was a good idea to use cardioids mics but by not being by the stacks + using cardioids mics, something is lost in a recording. This is just my opinion, feel free to argue with it. The levels may have been a little bit too high even as when the crowd cheers it sounds as though there may be a -tiny- brickwall in the right channel. The instruments are clear & the listening factor is definitely there but I am curious how many people would have this on repeat, over and over. Know what I mean? Now, I am not trying to negate the obvious qualities of this recording as it has many but there are better recordings out there. However, no matter how you slice it, this is a recording that most likely deserves a place in your Tool collection and is an accurate representation of what this band can deliver to the sheep... hey, shit, isn't that us?
Maynardism: "Rumor has it that we are in Erie, is that true? Are you sure?"
