Notes: The second to last show of the Lateralus tour. Tool seemed to rather tight & MJK seemed to be in a rather talkative mood, in a way. Although they didn't really stretch the boundaries of what they could've possibly done to commemorate such a night, a very solid performance was created. Filmed from the back, left of the arena, this is a pretty good film-job. The sound is pretty good as well but is a little distant. There are some instances of less than ideal workmanship but that is not a big deal at all. It is par for the course. This features some rather nice editing of the screen shots & the band performing as well as some good close-ups. But, overall, you are seeing the stage & the screens rather than an intense close-up of a band member. But that is ok. All in all, this is mandatory if you were at the show & want to relive it but not a bad idea to pick up if you just want to sit back, relax & watch a nice recording.
Maynardism: "Good evening Reno. Are you ready to have some fun? Well, let me clarify what we mean by fun. Not the WWF, Limp Bizkit, Kid Rock kind of fun. Not the MTV dry-humping, effects gone wild beach party kind of fun. Because we are not going to underestimate your intelligence. We're gonna have intelligent fun, compassionate fun, think-for-yourself-question-authority kind of fun. The kind of fun that drives Republicans crazy. Lots of fun. Are you ready?"
