Notes:
Wonderful source. Vocals are up-front, guitar is clean, bass is steady & for
fans of Danny's drumming... check out the performance of Rosetta Stoned. I
understand that there are quite a few different sources for this Hippy-Fest
Performance called Bonnaroo floating around. There is a possibility that this
performance could very well be the most recorded performance of Tool, ever, due
to the fact that the concert experience itself allowed taping (Tool, of course,
did not allow taping of there performance but people did it anyway) although few
have actually materialized. Yet. Recording : Could very well be one of the
better sources for this performance. Of interest, this is, to date as of
08/2007, the only performance in which the legendary, one & only
folk-artist-with-political-message (the incredible) Night Watchmen performed on
Lateralus... err... I mean Tom Morello; the Night Watchmen is his other persona.
The solo is, IMO, so-so as it really had the chance to go into random directions
but instead was pretty much a text book version. Ah well. Now, although this
recording is the last time Tool performed
Ænema for this leg of the US Tour, I am not sure it would have been
worth it to be out in the sun for days on end with a dred-headed chick named
Summer having a seizure from bad LSD & lack of water in front of you as you try
to tape the performance.
