Notes: Well I could explain to you that in comparison with some other recordings from this taper that this source seems a bit more bass-heavy than the other three Tool masters, that the vocals seem to be super-crisp (much more so than at the show) & I could discuss the fact that this source manages to blend the precision of Danny's drumming, the rhythm of Justin's bass & the dark, drop-d of Adam's distorted guitar into a recording that is not only blissful but powerful. I could also mention that the performance at this rather small-venue show in the middle of bum-fuck Ohio is quite possibly one of the better performances that I, for one, have ever experienced. The band was simply "on". But why do that when I could discuss having a couple beers with the taper prior to the show? Yeah. I enjoyed a couple delicious Budweisers & I believe Jason was quenched by the quality of Guinness as we watched the hordes of Tool-tee-shirt wearing "OGT's" careening to/fro. You know, there is nothing like hearing the band you are going to see as you listen to them in the parking lot - you know, those folks must share their love of the band by jamming to each CD at dB level 20 out of stock speakers? Yeah, them. But after a pleasant walk around the facility, talking about the 1960's counter-culture's influence over not only music, drug policy & the pursuit of happiness it was time to go into the venue. The security was not too insane & we both were able to secure a nice place to set up our equipment in style.

"Cincinnati got this right. Let's see how smart you people are. Don't embarrass me. Don't embarrass me. Round on the end, high in the middle. Fucking embarrassing. Should be ashamed of yourselves. You get one more chance then Danny Carey is going to take a big, sticky dump right there in the middle of the stage. One chance. Round on the ends, high in the middle. Round on the ends & high in the middle! Jesus fucking Christ."
"No flash cameras during this song, thank you. No flash cameras, please. Please, no flash cameras."

"Thanks Cody. Make A Wish foundation runner-up, Cody. Thanks for coming down, buddy, hope that shit clears up. So, uh, I'm not really an authority on hockey, but uh, very, very sorry to hear that the Cavaliers did not make it all the way. I'm just kidding... sorry about that. We'll see you again very soon, swear to Bob. Peace Out."
