Notes:
There apparently
are two different versions of this source floating around; one is a dual layer
DVD with the original audio. The other is on 2 DVDs with an unknown audience
recording synched with the video. The audio synch was nicely done & also
features a different menu-screen, however, cu.org tends to focus more on the
‘original’ of the sources. I will say that for the overwhelming majority of
people the audio synch is the way to go. The original audio source can be a bit
abrasive as there definitely is a fair amount of bass + high end distortion.
Perhaps we are talking preferences but I don’t really mind that all that much.
Now, I believe this is one of this filmer’s first attempts at stealthing a Tool
show. Wow. Just one hell of a job. Being an audio-only taper I really think that
tapers who film are either A) very ballsy or B) chemically imbalanced. However,
when you can walk out of a show with a video of it – that kind of takes it up to
another level now doesn’t it? The film-job is smooth throughout, actually, and
he did a nice job of capturing the stage & did not focus on MJK the entire time.
Beginners luck? We’ll have to stay tuned for more from this taper now won’t we?
