Source: Solid State --- Schoeps MK4 > Actives > Edirol R-09
Taper: Jordan K.
Gen: O (on data DVD)
Notes: The taper borrowed his older brother's (apparently in his 40's) MK4 mics and purchased the Edirol R09 through mail order a week before the concert. Although not the first time taping, it was the first stealth job. Overall, gotta say, like the recording as the vocals are rather clear, cymbals are crisp and the energy is palapble but there are some some significant issues with the left channel which occasionally, sporadically, goes in/out. Suppose if you someone was to really fix it all you would have to do would be to put the file into an audio program and copy the right channel over the left to get a cohesive recording. But then again some purists may believe that you should leave recordings as they, in natural habitat so to speak. According to the taper, he saw at least two other people he 'thought' were also taping as he saw someone + a friend messing with microphone wire in a hallway.
