Notes: Very nice sounding show. It is amazing to me that some analog taper's could get such great sound. This has been confused as a DAT source on numerous occasions -- pretty good compliment, if you ask me. This recording is surprisingly clear, crisp & is as un-muddy as you can get. The taper must have been standing somewhere relatively close to a stack of speakers as the crowd is very, very low. Since Third Eye is not on this show, I would assume this is an incomplete recording. Too bad, maybe there is an alt. source out there with the entire show on it but this is a very optimistic outlook as I am pretty sure that this is the only known AUD recording. Also, Tool played, as an intermission, the South Park Christmas episode where Jesus & Santa fight 'to the death'. for South Park fans, yes, the original pilot episode. Interesting. This recording has one of the best, best versions of Prison Sex I've heard, with the extra verse, of course over-the-rainbow-mix (OTRM). Recently, a 1st Gen was transferred from the original master which sounds a bit cleaner than the other rip(s) of this show because of the generation/noise issue. No sense in making a huge deal about it but the taper would actually spin cassette clones of his recordings & make clones of those rather than using his master after time. Can't say I blame him any. As is is, this 1 Gen version is spun from the master cassette & was mastered by DP.
