Notes - May, 2004: There are and many different rips of this recording to make it to CD. The most common, listed below, has some errors. There are no errors on the one that I recently put to CD but who knows as far as lineage will go once it is past my hands? As it is, in an effort to sound as un-redundant as possible, all of the information and analysis below is applicable to the DAT + DAT rip by yours truly. third Eye features Chris Pittman on Keyboards.
Notes - Most common DAT rip :
Very good sound. There are a couple skips on this recording, none of which are very noticeable or bad -except- the skip on H. That one is a bit noticeable but it lasts for about 20 seconds then it's gone so it's not the end of the world. Listening to this recording, you can hear some subtleties in the instruments that is unnoticeable in other recordings. Also, this is the last show of the tour & of 1996. Only known performance of 'Die Eier Von Satan' as well...with the exception of a pre-recorded tape looping at this show here in 2002. This show is the last of 1996 & also features the South Park Christmas promo which featured Jesus & Santa fighting to the death...and, Brian Boitano (figure skater). Tight recording, superb performance & a nice clean & balanced listening experience all the way through. It should be noted that most copies I've come across have a slight skip during H. & a few very light & sporadic skips on disc #2...common in most copies.
Maynardism: "This song goes out to my son - it's about choices." (H.)
