Notes: This is a matrix of my two sources for this particular show, an audience recording + a soundboard
recording. It took me longer than it probably should have to get the timing & whatnot in sync with each other
but, in the end, I think that it was well worth it. This version has the clarity of the soundboard but also has the
live sound of the audience. Mixed together, they create a very nice mixture, one that I can only hope to recreate
sometime in the future. I can say for certain that, at this point in July of 2003, this matrix is the best sounding
master I have taped. It would be wrong for me to not say thank you to Smagmapig for hooking me up. He ran
cables out from the SBD into his DAT & I ran out of his DAT into my MD, that was very cool. Without that, I
doubt this recording (SBD + matrix) would be in existence. Also, for those that care, I am trading this out to
traders for stuff of merit. I spent a lot of time to get this sounding right & want others to listen to the show as, if
nothing else, Dredg put on one hell of a good show this night. My only complaint is that the guitar seems to be,
at some times, dominant in the left channel through the board. But, that is hardly a complaint.

Notes: This was my first -real- experience with Dredg. Previous to the show, I had heard maybe 3 or 4 songs,
definitely not enough to base a real opinion on. I was extremely impressed with the overall quality,
professionalism, enjoyability & also the performance of Dredg. What a show. I really, truly, hope that this group
blows up because they have the talent & the attitude to be something very, very cool. This band is one of the
few that are completely cool with tapers. They figure that the more exposure they get, the more people will hear
their music & buy their records - which is very true. The band allows & does not mind tapers plugging into the
soundboard, video-taping them or simply taping them anyway they can. I only wish that more bands were this
cool to tapers. Fact is, really, I wish more bands were of this caliber. The lead singer complained a little bit about
feedback coming in his IEM but there really was none, seems like an issue with his monitor as there was no
audible feedback that I could or can pick out.
