Band: Jane's Addiction
Location: Noblesville, IN, USA @ Verizon Wireless Music Center
Date: July 5, 2003
Part of: Lollapalooza

Equipment: Mini Disc --- Core Sound Binaurals (bass roll-off) > Sharp MT-180
Taping Position: Approximately 10 rows from FOS - Right

Notes: After Perry Farrel first put-together Lollapalooza in 1991 & after the festival's less than dramatic 1997
conclusion, Lolla returned in 2003 as did, at least for me, Jane's Addiction. Although this was not the most
dramatic Jane's set I had heard, the power & overall professionality of the band as a whole shined through
greatly as the head-liners of the traveling festival. Plagued by technical & weather problems throughout the sets
of the main acts, the first night of Lollapalooza featuring JA was quite moving, really. Although numerous people
left before & during the JA set, I did not find that very surprising due to the fact that they have not released a
new LP in over 10 years, no counting Kettle Whistle. But, there were numerous people who stayed & enjoyed
their set, which was quite nice. Personally, I thought they were the highlight of the performances of this day but
perhaps I am simply biased. My recording turned out quite nice. Will update the song titles once I get their new
record to check it all out & also as for the setlist on a whole, what I put down below is from memory, not fact
due to me not knowing what song is what.
