Notes: My wife & I went to the Tastefest on a Saturday night to pretty much see what it was all about. Despite
the outrageous prices, mediocre food, expensive beer & the fact that Detroit, MI -sucks- we managed to have a
decent enough time, at least we were together of course. The main stage was packed, just packed with people
that did not look like rock-fans; old people chilling in chairs and drinking coffee. Needless to say about half way
through they left & more & more kids just piled into the front. I couldn't believe that there were chairs just sitting
there  -was silly. They could have had so many more people in there to dance & have fun - ah well. As it was,
for a free concert, I was very pleased. I decided to use my Soundman OKMIIR mics... what a wise decision.
For the longest time I lived & swore by CSB mics but I am really, really pleased with the OKMIIR's. I was not in
anyway in an ideal location for taping as people kept moving & whatnot & was not directly in front of the stack
but it sounds like a FOS recording, I am not sure that the CSB mics would have done so well under these
circumstances. Recording came out crisp, clean & super clear - very accurate capture of the show I think. After
the last song, we left... not sure if they did a final encore song or not. Doubtful but maybe, I don't know - worth
a note though.
