Band: Johnny Marr + The Healers
Location: Detroit, MI, USA @ The Magic Stick
Date: Jan. 27, 2003

Equipment: Mini Disc --- Core Sound Binaurals > Battery Box > Sony MZ-R700
Taping Position: Front Of Stack - Left

Notes: I thought J. Marr & The Healers were quite good. The vocals are rather classic-Bitish sounding but have
a monotone to them that may aggravate some & chill others out. I like them & find his voice rather interesting
but can easilly see where others would be less than impressed; as a comparison, Ian Brown of The Stone Roses
has the same style. The band is rather tight & are a very good, basic, rock n roll band. The show was
professional & interesting, there are no complaints at all. I stood right in FOS the entire time but there were
chairs & people sitting down in them the entire show - this show, sitting down was not all that cool. I think that
fact sort of annoyed the band a little, it would annoy me. All in all, if you get a chance to see these guys or just
want to take in a classic-sounding British rock n roll band, this is a good one to see.
