Date: March 14, 2003
Opening for: Pigface

Equipment: Mini Disc --- Core Sound Binaurals > Battery Box > Sony MZ-R700
Taping Position: Front Of Stack - Right

Notes: Yeah, if you are going to witness this band live, I'm pretty sure that this is how: with 3 members on
stage only. Groovie Man provides the hush & montonous vocals, a drummer kicks out the beats & the soul of
TKK, the keyboardist-songwriter-programmer-backup vocals-lyrics-guitar, Marston Daley, provides everything
to get the show going. Interesting stuff, very unique - this band has been together since the mid-1980's &,
although have lost major label support, still provide something that fills a niche missing in music today. A fellow
standing next to me thought that Groovie Man was lip-syncing to the vocals but I doubt it, he messed up a
couple times & I doubt that they would do that anyway. Certainly did not look like it nor sound like it. The Kult
came out rather late, 12:00am precisely. This was 3 hours after the doors opened & were only an opening act,
this was a late night. The stage went completely dark & thick, grey, smoke poured out from the stage.
Electronic noise eminates from the speakers & the show begins. It seems that the dark & haunting music
appeals only to a few people, even at a gothic show such as this one. I was quite into it & am quite pleased with
the recording, overall. If you do happen to get a chance, take a chance on this band.
