Band: Belle & Sebastian
Location: Detroit, MI, USA @ The State Theatre
Date: May 10, 2002

Equipment: Mini Disc --- Giant-Squid Powered Battery Box Binaural > Sony MZ-R700
Taping Position: Front Of Stack - Right

Notes: Sometimes, I can be a total buzzkill, for some reason, I wanted to sit up in the balcony to enjoy the show.
But Sarah had other plans, like dancing & having fun instead of listening & watching. So, we went down to
FOS-right & had a great time. Really, if we have floor tickets, it is best to actually use them. We were barely
inches away from Much better idea that we did what she wanted because  not only was the crowd completely &
100% relaxed but the sound was perfect for the microphones, the GSAL handled that sound very fine. Plus, she
got to dance & have a good-time which is most important. I enjoyed myself as well. This band is truly one of the
best bands around these days, their music is classic - sort of like the Smith's will always have a fanbase, so will
Belle & Sebastian. This was the 2nd time we saw them, cannot wait to see them again. The only issue,
soundwise is a dumb
alt-weezer-black-rimmed-1950's-glasses-kid shouting & screaming, which is fine at a
concert but not cool when I am next to these people.

Setlist Attained?: Yes -
After the show, a roadie crumpled up about 7 of them & threw them into the audience. One landed in (I kid you not) a woman's
cleavage so I just grabbed it & walked away. No, I did not feel bad about that ;o)
