Band: Bush
Location: Grand Rapids, MI, USA @ The Orbit Room
Date: March 6, 2002
Equipment: Mini Disc --- Giant-Squid Powered Battery Box Binaural > Sony MD MZ-R700
Taping Position: Center - Balcony @ very top
Notes: Pretty good performance by Bush, I suppose - I've not heard any other live gigs before or since this
show. Always wanted to see them live just because I used to listen to them quite a bit when I was younger &
sometimes put on Sixteen Stone. Glad I went & got a nice sounding recording (even considering the location I
taped at) out of it but would not go see them again unless it was really convenient. At $36 plus ticketmaster fees,
I have other stuff to spend cash on but, again, they did put on a nice show. They did have the rock star theatrics
but also demostrated a relationship with their fans. Gavin Rosdale, lead singer, actually walked off the stage, up
onto the top balconey where I was at & proceede to sing -back- at the band who were on stage. Very cool.
When he was being escorted back, he was shaking hands & whatnot so I just ran down & slapped him a high
five. Yeah, I felt a little silly doing it but what the hell, why not?
