Band: The Charlatans UK
Location: Detroit, MI, USA @ St. Andrews Hall
Date: Jan 23, 2002

Equipment: Mini Disc --- Radioshack Lavaliers > Sony MZ-R700
Taping Position: Front Of Stack - Left

Notes: Recording is not distorted but is a little muddy-sounding & there are a few MD drop-outs caused by me
hitting the line-in. Not too bad, the microphones held up quite well for how loud it was. I was dancing a little,
had my keys in the same place as my MD so a few skips are here & there as well. As for who the Charlatans
are, they represent a sound referred to as 'Madchester', a derivative of Manchester, England where bands like the
Stone Roses, Oasis, The La's, The Manc's, The Smith's &  The Happy Mondays redefined modern music with
elements of dance, rock & roll. I would really like to see these guys again, they just seemed to be very cool &
had a laid back feel to who and what they are as a band whilst onstage. Classic British rcok n roll: cool but yet
intense.
